About Alimentaris
We are an independent organisation working in Argentina to enhance the impact of social, economic and environmental initiatives. From a logic of strategic philanthropy, we act as catalysts of the necessary change to achieve it: we seek to generate a transformative impact that allows us to expand opportunities, leverage resources and generate sustainable solutions.
Our history
Alimentaris was born in 2012 from the commitment of its founder, Karina Bentivoglio, in the face of the challenges of malnutrition in Argentina.
From our initial experience collaborating with organisations working in the field, we understood the depth and complexity of the problem.
That journey marked an evolution in our approach: we understood that we could generate a greater impact by assuming a flexible and strategic role to generate the greatest possible impact. We decided to work from a holistic and systemic perspective, focused on improving the design, implementation and scale of responses to major social challenges. This approach is based on a conviction: our resources have more impact when they are invested with intelligence, sensitivity and openness, recognising the value of working together and adding capacities.
