Programme:

Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies

Objective:

In partnership with Bayka, Fundación Alimentaris is advancing a programme of capacity building, peer learning, and field-based collaboration to strengthen the individuals and organizations directly engaged in biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration across Argentina.

The initiative is grounded in the belief that protecting ecosystems also means strengthening the people who care for them every day.

2025 Highlights

  • During 2025, the programme delivered:
  • The Experience Exchange Programme (PIE), a series of seven online talks that attracted nearly 1,000 participants from across Argentina.
  • The Conservation Organizations Forum (FOCO), which brought together more than 35 conservation organizations, academic institutions, and local stakeholders to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.
  • Field restoration trials using native plant species in three key ecosystems: the Misiones Atlantic Forest, the Delta and Island riparian forests, and the Dry Chaco.
