Program:
Food System Innovation
Objective:
To strengthen healthy food policies through strategic participation in multisector dialogue, promoting a sustainable food systems perspective in the implementation of key public policy frameworks.
Throughout 2025, Fundación Alimentaris served on the Scientific Committee of the 2nd Food Policy Congress, organized by Fundación SANAR in Mar del Plata. In this role, the Foundation contributed to shaping the conference programme and evaluating both the thematic working sessions and the projects submitted for consideration.
During the congress, Comunidad SAS, an initiative of Fundación Alimentaris, presented the interactive installation “Who Do I Share the Table With?” The installation featured a round table with seven chairs, each representing one of the often-invisible roles that make food systems possible: the person who grows food, cooks, connects, researches, designs public policies, and eats. The installation invited participants to reflect on the many people and processes behind every shared meal.
Fundación Alimentaris also co-organized, together with Consciente Colectivo, the workshop “Hungry for New Narratives“, a creative space designed to rethink the relationship between food and the environment while exploring new narratives grounded in the principles of the right to food, care, and food sovereignty.
